Health 2.0 - User Generated Healthcare

SURVEYOR Health is part of the new Health 2.0 consumer generated healthcare movement. This movement recognizes that the Web has forever changed the dynamic between provider and patient, with patients routinely showing up in doctors' offices with stacks of print outs from the Web.

The growth of this market segment is enormous, evidenced by the fact that a conference which started in 2006 with less than 100 participants had over 1,000 participants in the fall of 2008. This community has recently been enhanced with the addition of Microsoft® HealthVault™ and Google Health's personal health record.

Standards are being settled on, including the CCR - the Continuity of Care Record that is being widely adopted across healthcare companies. These standards will allow us to move information across systems, with proper patient permissions and security standards in place.
