The Health 2.0 Accelerator (H2A) is a collaborative of healthcare companies whose goal is to accelerate value creation that can transform the industry by removing integration barriers, facilitating organic growth, allowing incremental automation, and driving plug-and-play commerce. SURVEYOR Health is a founding member and holds a seat on the Board of Directors of the Accelerator.
The Accelerator believes in "the power ofhealthcare service networks, or business communities where companies collaborate through loosely coupled business services to build simple or complex solutions that meet the evolving needs of the health care industry."
SURVEYOR Health is one of the companies involved in the first of these Accelerator projects, focusing on Drug Profile Interoperability. This will support interoperation between currently separate solutions by providing links and moving consumer patient data between sites with appropriate privacy and security authorizations. In the process of providing this solution the project participants also aim to make it technically possible for third parties to utilize the participant's web services, i.e., for other organizations and vendors to send data to SURVEYOR Health for processing and for SURVEYOR Health to send data to other organizations on behalf of a patient.
The partnership between First DataBank and SURVEYOR Health illustrates a key focus of the Health 2.0 Accelerator consortium: collaboration. H2A works with its participants to encourage collaboration around specific business or technical objectives to benefit consumers in ways that are challenging or inefficient for companies to tackle alone.
