DestinationRx and Health 2.0 Accelerator 2009

PRESS RELEASE - April 22, 2009

PharmaSURVEYOR and DestinationRx demonstrate
the first project of the Health 2.0 Accelerator

Companies collaborate to provide industry-leading drug safety and cost decision support

BOSTON (Health 2.0 Conference) April 22, 2009 - PharmaSURVEYOR, a startup providing consumers and clinicians with the most advanced drug safety informatics, and DestinationRx, the free online resource that helps millions of consumers choose and use the health plan and medications that are best for them and their families, demonstrated at the Health 2.0 Conference the first project of the Health 2.0 Accelerator, a new collaborative of over one hundred members focused on enabling healthcare business service networks in the spirit of eCommerce. For more information: http://health2accelerator.org/CaseStudy.htm.

As a result of the Drug Record Interoperability project a DestinationRx user may click on a link that securely transmits their list of drugs stored in their DestinationRx medicine cabinet to PharmaSURVEYOR's website. There they can view a Regimen Survey of these drugs to identify symptoms that may be adverse drug side effects, diagnose which of their meds are more likely contributing to their symptoms and also to perform "what-if" analyses to evaluate the safety impact of making changes to their drug regimen. Similarly, from PharmaSURVEYOR's web application a member may link to their Medicine Cabinet at DestinationRx to find lower price drug options and to purchase their drugs from the pharmacy with the best prices.

"Drug Record Interoperability, the first project of the Accelerator, demonstrates the power of the network to serve both consumers and businesses, to do what could not be done by a single organization and to achieve the best decision support for drug safety and cost" said Erick Von Schweber, Executive Co-Chair of PharmaSURVEYOR. "The result is that each project participant can offer a stronger and wider array of healthcare services to its own membership while also benefiting from the combined traffic of the collaborative. Indeed, other companies are already lining up to join the project, to provide their users and members with PhamaSURVEYOR's drug safety analytics, and add their unique capabilities to the growing mix."

"We're excited to offer our health care plan comparison tool and prescription medication resource through the PharmaSURVEYOR Accelerator project." said Michael Cho, President and CEO of DestinationRx. "This relationship furthers our mission of providing consumers access to their DestinationRx account wherever they are."

"We''e reaching out to healthcare enterprises and organizations, large and small, to join the Accelerator and both contribute to and benefit from the Network Effect" said Julie Murchinson, Director of the Health 2.0 Accelerator. "While we are open to all comers we are currently talking to some of the very biggest consumer healthcare websites, providers and payer organizations about participating and growing the network."

About the Health 2.0 Accelerator
The Health 2.0 Accelerator (H2A) is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to advance consumer-centric health care by driving integration of technology and the consumer experience across a network of new and established technology companies and health care organizations. H2A believes in the power of healthcare service networks, or business communities where companies collaborate through loosely coupled business services to build simple or complex solutions that meet the evolving needs of the health care industry. With over 140 health care companies, organizations, and individuals participating, H2A is enabling collaborations that drive business to participants' services and create "industry goods" to advance the field that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to achieve for a participant acting alone.
