About Us
Surveyor Health's Unique Approach
Linda and Erick began Surveyor Health when Linda's mother had a problem with her Opioid medications and Linda realized that their optimization technology was as applicable to drug regimens as it was to their work for the
US Government DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency).
Vision
Surveyor Health’s vision is to bring modern science and engineering to population health, telemedicine and care management through its SurveyorAI Artificial Intelligence.
Mission
Inform, Navigate, Coordinate and Optimize the Complex Systems of health and healthcare.
Philosophy
Surveyor Health has been operating primarily as an R&D lab with the mission of developing and scientifically evaluating novel artificial intelligence technology for healthcare that actually works, improves health and reduces cost. Over a span of years we've worked with, and piloted solutions at the best and the brightest on the healthcare landscape, including the largest managed care organization, one of the top accountable care organizations and one of the top managed Medicaid health plans.
This provided valuable insights and, combined with an investment strategy prioritizing engineering and testing over marketing, has led to a stable, proven platform that delivers significant improvements in the health of patients as well as savings for health plans.
From the fire of these real-world crucibles has emerged a proven, novel AI platform that is ready to scale to the largest systems; it provides a proven, positive return for all involved: members, patients, customers and our stockholders.
Thus are the achievements of our science-first philosophy.

Prior to Surveyor Health
Synsyta 2000-2006
As principals of Synsyta our founders were involved with projects for the GSA (General Services Administration), DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), the DOD (Department of Defense) and intelligence agencies.
A consortium of 8 companies and academic researchers developing and integrating technologies supporting Symbolic Artificial Intelligence, Neuromorphic cognitive architectures and Machine Learning, Evolutionary and Co-evolutionary Algorithms, Model Driven Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, Ontologies and the Semantic Web, Formal Methods including Category Theory and Grid Computing.
Erick was the CTO of Synsyta and served as Chief Architect on all projects.
Linda was the President, Program Manager and IP Manager for the member organizations managing teams of researchers, computer scientists and developers over the length of a program.

Starting with the Terrorism Information Awareness (TIA) Program,
created after 9/11 to integrate previous and new government intelligence and surveillance programs
where as part of Raytheon Advanced Concepts they worked jointly with SAIC and Booz Allen.
And particularly
DARPA's Situation-Aware Protocols in Edge Network Technologies (SAPIENT) program,
intended to significantly improve the performance of defense computer applications that degrade due to constantly changing network conditions, such as those occurring on the battlefield. SurveyorAI was used to identify, assemble and optimize micro-protocols into efficient network stacks for military communications in real time, diagnosing and improving the "health of the network".
Applicable to Healthcare
It turns out that creating protocol stacks is practically identical to building medication regimens.
When they realized that mismanaged medication regimens cause over 200,000 deaths a year
they decided to "turn the ship" and help with this devastating situation in healthcare.
SurveyorAI and Surveyor Health have been their passion since then.
