Populations, individuals, care plans and medication regimens are all complex systems.
SurveyorAI also employs probabilistic inference (Bayesian) to model and predict the behavior of these complex systems and the space of meaningful changes to them. Tradeoffs across factors are analyzed statistically and through a multidimensional optimization process, informing stratification, segmentation and prioritization of members, as well as individualized care plans.
Each patient is a complex dynamical system. To build the complex systems that represents each patient we analyze available data including medication fills, labs, diagnoses, allergies, utilization history and more.
Medication risk data from FDB (First Databank), is uniquely applied by SurveyorAI to probabilistically model patient risks for population stratification and to provide decision support during remote interventions to better inform medication treatment plan adjustments and to educate patients.

We are often asked how SurveyorAI compares with Machine Learning (ML). ML is but one of a vast number of disciplines within Artificial Intelligence*.
ML finds patterns in existing data, such that similar patterns can be detectable in other data, hence the learning. As such, ML is focused on learning from the past to inform the actions we take.
SurveyorAI finds patterns in the space of possible futures and applies those patterns in current decision making. As such, SurveyorAI is focused on learning from possible futures to inform the actions we take.
From this perspective, SurveyorAI is machine imagination when compared to machine learning.
The two approaches are not mutually exclusive, in that patterns learned by ML may be applied in constructing the space of possible futures and predicting their properties. Conversely, SurveyorAI can produce data sets of possible futures that ML can learn from.
